Workplace fire hazard & emergency readiness reviews · Mississauga, Toronto & the GTA

Fire safety assessments for GTA workplaces

A fire safety review should do more than count extinguishers. SENVRIC evaluates observable workplace fire hazards, evacuation readiness, emergency procedures and available inspection or maintenance documentation within an agreed scope. We provide actionable findings for businesses in Mississauga, Toronto, Brampton, Oakville and the Greater Toronto Area.

Independent workplace health and safety consulting. On-site assessments by appointment; service scope and fees agreed before work begins.

Where we can help

A practical review of fire safety readiness

Offices, warehouses, manufacturers and hospitality workplaces face different fire risks. The assessment is tailored to your layout, operations, emergency arrangements and the records made available for review. Technical system inspection and testing are outside a standard SENVRIC assessment.

01

Exit routes and evacuation

Observe accessible exit routes, obstructions, posted emergency information, assembly arrangements and practical considerations for employee and visitor evacuation.

02

Combustible materials and ignition risks

Review visible housekeeping, combustible storage, waste accumulation and potential ignition concerns. Identify situations needing specialist electrical, mechanical or fire-protection evaluation.

03

Fire equipment access and documentation

Check whether fire equipment is accessible and whether available extinguisher, alarm, emergency-lighting and other servicing records appear organized and current. SENVRIC does not test, repair or certify fire-protection systems.

04

Emergency plans, drills and training records

Review available emergency procedures, assigned responsibilities, drill records and relevant worker information to identify gaps that should be addressed or confirmed with qualified providers.

Assessment approach

Understand the risks, then organize the next steps

We agree on the workplace areas, document types and limitations before visiting. During the walkthrough, we observe relevant conditions, review agreed records and discuss how emergency arrangements work in practice. Findings are recorded and ranked by risk rather than treated as automatic legal violations.

If records indicate overdue servicing or conditions warrant technical testing, SENVRIC can help organize an action plan and coordinate with an appropriately qualified fire-protection provider. System inspections, testing, repairs, permits and statutory sign-offs remain the responsibility of authorized parties under applicable requirements.

What your written report can include

  • Defined assessment scope, areas visited and documented limitations
  • Observed fire hazards, emergency-access concerns and record gaps
  • Prioritized findings with practical risk-reduction recommendations
  • Maintenance and servicing items for qualified-provider follow-up
  • Management-ready corrective-action plan with suggested ownership

Exact deliverables and turnaround are established in the written quotation. This is a visual and documentary advisory review, not an engineering inspection, regulatory certification, or guarantee of compliance.

Our approach

Assess. Prioritize. Correct. Improve.

SENVRIC reviews your health and safety documentation and policies, audits the agreed areas of your site, identifies compliance gaps, hazards and control weaknesses, prioritizes findings by risk, and provides clear corrective actions with practical implementation guidance and follow-up support.

Questions businesses ask

Does SENVRIC conduct fire safety reviews in Mississauga and Toronto?

Yes. Workplace fire safety assessments are offered by appointment throughout the service area, subject to the agreed scope and access requirements.

Can SENVRIC inspect, test or service extinguishers and fire alarms?

No. The standard service is an advisory workplace assessment. Regulated testing, inspection, maintenance and repairs must be performed by appropriately qualified service providers. SENVRIC can help identify and coordinate follow-up needs.

Is this the same as an official fire inspection or Fire Code certification?

No. SENVRIC is not a fire authority or regulator. Its assessment documents observed conditions and records within scope; it does not replace inspections or obligations under the Ontario Fire Code.
